Current products include lip, eye, complexion and body products.[2] They are most well-known for their Naked collection, which includes twelve different eye shadow palettes. Its target market is women, although it is not limited to this range, and is also designed to appeal to customers who wish to purchase cruelty-free makeup.[3] Its products are sold at large department stores in the United States such as Macy's, Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, and from the official website,[4][5] as well as in several other countries such as Mexico and Germany.[citation needed]

Pink, red, and beige tones dominated the beauty industry palette until the mid-1990s.[6] In 1995, Sandy Lerner, a co-founder of Cisco Systems, and Patricia Holmes were at Lerner's mansion outside London when Holmes mixed raspberry and black to form a new color. Then, they decided to form a cosmetics company, which they named Urban Decay.[7] Launched in January 1996, it offered a line of ten lipsticks and 12 nail polishes. Their color palette was inspired by the urban landscape, with names such as Roach, Smog, Rust, Oil Slick, and Acid Rain.[8]

The collection later expanded to include other eyeshadow palettes like Naked Basics, Naked 2,[20] Naked2 Basics,[21] Naked 3,[22] Naked Smoky,[23] Naked Ultimate Basics,[24] Naked Heat, Naked Heat Petite, Naked Cherry, Naked Reloaded, Naked Honey, Naked Ultraviolet, Naked Cyber and Naked Wild West.[25] A sub-collection of the original Naked collection, Naked Complexion,[26] includes other skin products like foundations, concealers, blushes, highlighters, bronzers and makeup tools to accompany them.

If you're running out of bathroom counter space or if you like to pack light for trips, you need beauty products that are versatile. Multi-taskers that can do more than one task are automatic "must shop" items, especially if you like to switch up your glam. If you enjoy creating different eye makeup looks, but you don't want to buy a million individual shades or huge palettes with three shades you'd actually use, I recommend getting an Urban Decay eyeshadow palette.

Another reviewed, "Amazing colors for day/night makeup. I love UD eyeshadows not only for their wide range of colors, but for their excellent quality, they are smooth and run easily!" Someone else declared, "I love these colors! They blend beautifully and the quality is on point! I'm a forever fan of Urban Decay!" An Urban Decay customer declared, "I love this palette! Thinking about purchasing another one soon!" Another person wrote, "Everyday reach-for item. The colors are soft and so is the powder itself, but I knew the kind of quality these palettes were already. I enjoy the way it looks and feels when I do my eye makeup with it and reminds me of being young with my first naked rose palette. The shades blend together easily and always come up with a pretty cohesive look, I love the big pans for the colors I use most!"

You don't need to have a superpower to dive into Urban Decay's next big makeup collaboration. The brand is releasing an all-new collection of products inspired by Marvel's The Eternals, the newest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that officially debuts on Nov. 5.

Beauty balms are more commonly known as BB creams. A BB cream is a light-coverage makeup base product that moisturizes and provides other skin care benefits. Many BB creams contain sun protection, anti-aging properties, and ingredients that even out the skin tone. The idea behind a BB cream is that you're getting your makeup, moisturizer, and other targeted skincare in one lightweight product. Urban Decay's One and Done is the company's offering in this product category. It provides naturally blurred foundation coverage combined with SPF 20. One and Done also contains natural botanical extracts.

Urban Decay has released several cosmetics vaults over the years containing a complete collection of one of the brand's entire makeup categories or product lines. For instance, one vault is compromised of a set of 20 full-sized single eye shadows. Ten of the shadows are classics from the signature line, and the other 10 are from the glimmering Moondust collection. Urban Decay also has curated vaults of every Vice lipstick shade and every Naked eye shadow palette.

Prince had many talents, just like this super-fluffy Multitasker Brush does. Inspired by the makeup brushes that Prince used, its vegan bristles are densely packed and can be used anywhere on the face and body. It was originally $28 and is now marked down to only $14.

UPDATE (December 27, 2016 8:30 a.m.): You don't have to countdown until 2017 to add the brand-new Urban Decay Makeup Setting Sprays and Complexion Primers to your cart. The Spring 2017 collection dropped a week earlier than we expected. You can shop Urban Decay's latest products for keep your makeup on point before and after application on urbandecay.com now. To find out more about the collection's primers for every skin problem and the fresh look of their beloved sprays, keep scrolling.

Instead of relying on a setting powder, which can make your skin look cakey and unnatural at times, to control your oily skin, try this lightweight mattifying spray. All summer long, it's one of our go-to products for fighting shine and keeping our makeup matte no matter how toasty it is outside. You can read Allure's official review on it here.

instantly cools skin on contact to freeze every single step of your makeup routine as if you just applied it. Sure, it sounds too good to be true, but Allure editors swear by it during wedding season.

Now that we're getting into neon-green bottle territory, it's time to focus on products that get your skin ready for makeup. On days when your skin didn't get the memo that you're wide awake and ready to take on the day, this hydrating spray helps bring it back to life instantly. You can also use it through the day for a quick refresher.

Before the De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray is spritzed on top of your foundation, you can smear this baby onto clean skin to eliminate shine and prevent oily patches from wrecking havoc on your makeup handiwork. Thanks to winning combination of the natural clay derivative veegum and silica, your face will stay as matte as your foundation promised it would be.

If you have oily eyelids and struggle with your eye makeup smudging during the day, then this primer is a must-have! Not only does the primer keep your eye makeup intact the whole day, but it also helps your eyeshadow apply smoother and easier.

Urban Decay is one of my favourite makeup brands. This is because of their fine balance between quality, creativity and price! Their products are reasonably priced, somewhere in the middle for makeup brands and, you get top-quality makeup!

Re: Buying makeup (Urban Decay & Benefit)2015/8/4 15:32 I googled "Urban Decay Tokyo" and the very first link shows that you can buy it at the Odakyu Shinjuku Department Store ( -shopping-in-tokyo.html)Don't see anything about Benefit though.by scarreddragonrate this post as useful

However, this e.l.f setting spray comes extremely close. It gives a super similar finish, and has similar staying-power for your makeup, but is so much more affordable compared to the Urban Decay.Yet another marvelous Urban Decay makeup dupe Dupeshop Beauty has discovered and tested for you!

Hey guys! I'm sure a few of you are wondering with this new Urban Decay Naked 3 palette release if it's a worthwhile purchase. As this is their third in the Naked series, I feel like it's pretty important to see how this one compares to the previously released Naked and Naked 2 palettes.Right off the bat you can see that the Naked 3 has an overall rose gold theme with 12 eyeshadows in a gorgeous, wave-textured tin case. Each palette has 12 shadows generally flowing from light to dark. The current selling palettes all come with a synthetic eyeshadow brush (Naked is single-ended while 2 and 3 include dual-ended brushes).Generally speaking, Naked has mostly warm neutrals, Naked 2 is in the neutral-to-taupe range with more drastic light and dark shadows, and Naked 3 is distinctly more pink with a lot of mid-to-light shades. Naked 3 in particular has no copycat shadows in any other collection, which is nice for the eyeshadow collector.click to view largerSo should you buy Naked 3 if you already have 1 or 2? I personally feel that Naked 3 is the most different from the previous Nakeds and neither of the other palettes have significantly overlapping shades with this one. In contrast, I do feel that Naked 1 looks most flattering on warm, yellow-undertoned skin while Naked 2 looks most flattering on cool-to-neutral skintones and you don't necessarily need both 1 & 2. To me, Naked 3 is a new range of everyday wearable shades that would be "naked" only on pinker-skinned gals but still beautiful and office-appropriate for everyone else.Dupes?- There are no repeat shades in Naked 3.- The highlight shade (#1) is matte and light which is fantastic in use. (N1 is shimmery, N2 is darker)- The darkest shade (#12) is not close to anything in the other Nakeds. (N1 is charcoal, N2 is matte black)- Trick (#6) is similar to Chopper (N2) and Toasted (N1) but less buttery and pinker.- Factory (#9) is the lighter, pink-overtone cousin to Busted (N2) and Hustle (N1).All in all, no real dupes here.Final ThoughtsI'm personally a sucker for rose gold and found it to be really pretty on my skin. The shades don't read as too cool like some taupes may do and the pinky matte shadow (Limit) works great as an transition color in this shade range. My one gripe is that I wish Naked 3 had another light satin color to pop on the lid like Half Baked (Naked 1 & 2), Sin (Naked 1), or Verve (Naked 2). Dust (glittery light pink) seems like it would be good but it isn't highly pigmented and applies a bit crumbly with fallout due to the high amount of glitter. Many of the shadows stay in the medium range which is a little disappointing for someone with a medium skintone where they blend in too much.Still, it is a beautiful palette and a great value at $52. There are no shades too close to Naked 1 or 2 so if you already have one of those then this palette will complement those colors nicely. If you are brand new to the Naked line I would recommend getting Naked 1 or 2 first before diving into 3 unless you know you love and wear pinks more than any other neutral. You can find my previous Naked palette reviews & swatches here:Naked 3Naked 2Naked (original)Naked BasicsNaked 3 is available now at urbandecay.com and will be available at Sephora and Ulta in December.Readers, what do you think? Which Naked Palettes do you own? Will you be picking up Naked 3? Let me know in the comments below!Disclaimer: This post contains product provided by the company's PR for consideration.
